I journey into the jungle
Tall trees making a safe shingle
Winds whisper secrets to waters
They are a mothers twin daughters.
The forest traverses in loops
Meek branches bending into hoops
Placid, calm, it inspires verse
‘Tis in emerald green immerse
Soothing many a parchment throat
Lies a blue lake – grand as a moat.
Forest lives to serve, serves to live
Evergreen, it seeks to forgive.
P.S That’s the picture that spurred this poem… It’s something I found when I was googling around and doesn’t have much to do with the poem, but it really is picturesque isn’t it?
